The 8th World Congress of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS 2026) successfully concluded in Brisbane, Australia.
Held approximately once every four years, the IFHNOS World Congress is one of the most important international medical conferences in the field of head and neck oncology. This year marked the first time the Congress was held in Australia, bringing together more than 1,000 delegates from over 50 countries, including leading clinicians, surgeons, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world.
S&T BioMed Co., Ltd. participated in IFHNOS 2026 together with its strategic partner, Uni-Shinmed Company Ltd., presenting Taiwan’s innovative achievements in oral cancer detection to the global head and neck oncology community.
Uni-Shinmed is part of the Yushin Medical Group, which has been deeply involved in the healthcare industry since 1955 and has extensive experience in medical product distribution and international market development. During IFHNOS 2026, Uni-Shinmed not only jointly promoted S&T BioMed’s oral cancer detection solutions, but also showcased other healthcare products in its portfolio, including portable ultrasound devices and selected medical and healthcare solutions.
At the Congress, S&T BioMed presented two saliva-based oral cancer detection products developed around its proprietary MMP-1 biomarker:
EarlyFound® MMP-1 ELISA Kit
EarlyFound® MMP-1 Rapid Strip Test
Throughout the event, both products attracted considerable attention from medical experts from different countries. Many clinicians and healthcare professionals expressed strong interest in the use of non-invasive saliva sampling, the clinical application of MMP-1 in oral cancer assessment, and the potential integration of these solutions into different healthcare systems.
S&T BioMed’s international regulatory footprint also continues to expand.
The EarlyFound® MMP-1 ELISA Kit has obtained market authorization or registration in the European Union, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The EarlyFound® MMP-1 Rapid Strip Test has obtained market authorization or registration in the European Union, Singapore, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.
IFHNOS 2026 was not only an important opportunity for international medical exchange, but also another significant milestone in S&T BioMed’s global market development.
Building on this partnership, S&T BioMed and Uni-Shinmed will further collaborate to develop distribution channels and market opportunities for S&T BioMed’s oral cancer detection products in Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia, and other international markets.
From Taiwan to the World.
S&T BioMed will continue to advance the clinical application of innovative biomarkers and non-invasive cancer detection technologies. We look forward to working with more clinicians, healthcare institutions, distributors, and strategic partners worldwide to make earlier and more accessible cancer detection possible.
