S&T BioMed announced that its EarlyFound® MMP-1 Rapid Strip Test, a saliva-based rapid screening product for oral cancer, has officially obtained medical device market authorization in Vietnam on April 28, 2026, and in Australia on May 11, 2026, further expanding the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific market.
The EarlyFound® MMP-1 Rapid Strip Test utilizes a non-invasive saliva testing approach to support rapid screening and clinical assessment for individuals at high risk of oral cancer. Featuring simple operation and rapid detection, the product is suitable for both clinical use and frontline screening settings. S&T BioMed has long been dedicated to the research, development, and commercialization of cancer biomarkers, aiming to provide simpler, faster, and more accurate cancer detection solutions.
To date, S&T BioMed’s quantitative oral cancer detection product, the EarlyFound® MMP-1 ELISA Kit, has obtained market authorizations in the European Union (CE), Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, while applications in Indonesia and Malaysia are currently under review. For the oral cancer rapid test product, in addition to existing approvals in the European Union (CE) and Singapore, the product has now also received approvals in Vietnam and Australia. Regulatory submissions are also under review in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
S&T BioMed stated that these latest international regulatory achievements further demonstrate the quality and technological strength of its products, while reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its presence across Southeast Asia and global markets, and promoting the broader adoption of non-invasive oral cancer screening in clinical practice.
